Villa Olea is located in the immediate vicinity of Bužinija, a small village just a few minutes from the sea, which belongs to Novigrad, nestled in the beautiful Croatian countryside. Surrounded by rolling hills, olive trees, and close to the sea, the villa is located in a quiet and dreamy setting. Hinter dem Haus, meist angenehm im Schatten gelegen, befindet sich ein 18 x 2,5 m großes Bocciafeld. Mit 12 Bocciakugeln ist es ideal für spannende Partien mit der ganzen Familie.

After more than ten years of vacationing in Istria with our dog, we built our dream vacation home in 2023. We incorporated our experiences into the house. Although our Bernese Mountain Dog Herrmann passed away during construction, we continue to rent the house to dog owners because we know how difficult it is to find a suitable, centrally located vacation home in a great environment. Even without a dog, we continue to book dog-friendly vacation homes, as the landlords are usually more relaxed. We hope that our guests, especially the dogs, feel at home with us.

Nach über zehn Jahren Urlaub in Istrien mit unserem Hund haben wir 2023 unser Traumferienhaus gebaut. Unsere Erfahrungen haben wir in das Haus integriert. Obwohl unser Bernersennen Herrmann während des Baus verstorben ist, vermieten wir das Haus weiterhin an Hundebesitzer, da wir wissen, wie schwierig es ist, ein geeignetes, zentral gelegenes Ferienhaus in toller Umgebung zu finden. Auch ohne Hund buchen wir weiterhin hundefreundliche Ferienhäuser, da die Vermieter meist entspannter sind. Wir hoffen, dass sich unsere Gäste, insbesondere die Hunde, bei uns wohlfühlen.

Konoba Nino – Homemade cuisine and home-brewed beer
Only 2 minutes by car from the villa. Can also be reached in 10 minutes by bike. This is where the locals go to eat. Small menu, but everything freshly cooked. The home-brewed beer is worth a visit in itself.

The Tri Palme is located just outside Novigrad in the district of Karpinjan, directly opposite the tennis courts with a view of the sea. It’s a bit quieter here than at the harbour, the prices are reasonable, the portions huge, the service good, everything tastes great – in short, highly recommended! Easy to reach by bike from Villa Olea!

Tri Kantuna Tar – Homemade Cuisine
Super authentic Istrian restaurant! Our favourite place for a meal in an Istrian atmosphere. We also invited guests here for our wedding reception. Unfortunately, word got around what a great restaurant it is, and you have to wait half an hour to get a seat. It’s worth the wait! Really recommendable. Multilingual staff… German, Dutch, English, Croatian ….

Casanova Beach Bar Vrsar – Bar and Grill
Casanova Beach Bar is located on the beach in the sports and recreation area ‚Montraker‘ in Vrsar. From early morning with the best coffee to sunset with an excellent selection of wines and cocktails and food, Casanova Beach Bar offers something for every part of the day. The atmosphere is outstanding and in the evening you can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in Istria.

Just a few metres walk in Kršin from Villa Olea is the restaurant (with pansion) Kolo. However, Kolo is only for adults and children over the age of 16. Great modern cuisine, highest quality from regional products. Only recommended!

Stancija Špin Tar – Homemade Istrian Cuisine
Such a beautiful konaba along the Cheese Road, where you can taste and buy olive oil and cheese. Istrian cuisine that is homemade. The dishes offered are not found everywhere, which is why Stancija Špin is famous and unique. A large playground for children and plenty of exercise for dogs. There is also enough parking space. We celebrated our wedding there and were really thrilled. From Villa Olea, Stancija Špin can be reached by car in a few minutes.

In the neighbouring village of Brtonigla, only 5 minutes by car, you will find the Primizia in the middle of this picturesque village. Many dishes are prepared in an original Istrian bread oven.

The wooden boat „My Old Lady“ found her berth on land at the beginning of 2021. Super breakfast with a view of Novigrad harbour. For children there is a nice playground on the same site. For dogs, there is a fenced-in dog area right next door with fun and games for humans and animals, including shady spots.

Valentino Cocktail & Champagne Bar Rovinj
The most amazing bar in all of Istria. Right by the sea, you sit in the rocks and just enjoy the breathtaking atmosphere. Bar Valentino is the „place to be“ in the picturesque resort of Rovinj. Renowned magazines and newspapers from all over the world are full of praise for the Valentino. One of the most beautiful paraphrases was delivered by the National Geographic Traveler in their column – „The best places in the world you have to see“.
After sunset, the shimmering turquoise sea, flickering candles on the tables, the glowing starry sky and the pleasant lounge music create a beautiful and unique atmosphere with champagne and cocktails.

Aquarium in Pula
Not far from Pula, on the peninsula of Verudela, there is still an old fortress. In order not to leave it empty, the Aquarium of Pula was uniquely embedded in the old fortress walls. There are a total of 60 show tanks on two floors. Here you can experience the underwater world of the Mediterranean, local lakes and rivers as well as tropical oceans.
Al Torcio – Das beste Olivenöl Istriens
Nur wenige Minuten von der Villa Olea entfernt finden Sie das beste, natürlichste und höchst ausgezeichnete Olivenöl. Es wird jährlich mit dem Olivenoscar ausgezeichnet, ist bio, völlig natürlich und doch ein kleines Familienunternehmen. Der Verkauf findet in einem kleinen Raum in der Stadt statt, und die Chefin, die Deutsch spricht, ist sehr stolz auf all die Auszeichnungen. Einfach vorbeifahren und im Hof parken.

Nicht weit, von Pula, auf Halbinsel Verudela befindet sich noch heute eine alte Festung. Um diese nicht leer stehen zu lassen, wurde das Aquarium von Pula einzigartig in die alten Festungsmauern eingebettet. Auf zwei Stockwerken befinden sich insgesamt 60 Schaubecken. Hier erleben Sie die Unterwasserwelt des Mittelmeeres, einheimische Seen und Flüsse als auch tropische Ozeane.

Die Konoba Jadruhi, etwas abgelegen und daher nur Kennern bekannt, liegt auf dem Weg nach Motovun und ist ein absolutes Muss für jeden Istrien-Besucher. Für uns ist sie die beste Konoba der Region. Alle Zutaten werden auf dem eigenen Hof angebaut und produziert – mehr Istrien geht nicht! Tisch bestellen zu empfehlen.

Tri Palme Novigrad– Regionale Küche
Das Tri Palme liegt etwas außerhalb von Novigrad im Ortsteil Karpinjan, direkt gegenüber den Tennisplätzen mit Blick auf das Meerr. Hier gehts etwas ruhiger zu als am Hafen, die Preise sind günstig, die Portionen riesig, der Service gut, es schmeckt alles super – kurzum sehr zu empfehlen! Von der Villa Olea leicht auch mit dem Rad zu erreichen!

Tri Kantuna Tar – Hausgemachte Küche
Super authentisches Istrisches Restaurant! Unser Lieblingsort für ein Essen in istrischer Atmosphäre. Auch hier haben wir die Gäste für unsere Hochzeitsfeier eingeladen. Leider hat es sich herumgesprochen, welch tolles Restaurant es ist und man muss schon mal eine halbe Stunde warten, um einen Platz zu bekommen. Warten lohn sich! Wirklich weiterzuempfehlen. Die Casanova Beach Bar befindet sich am Strand in der Sport- und Erholungszone ‚Montraker‘ in Vrsar. Nur wenige Meter zu Fuß in Kršin von der Villa Olea entfernt, befindet sich das Restaurant (mit Pansion) Kolo. Das Kolo ist aber nur für Erwachsene und Kinder ab 16 Jahren. Tolle moderne Küche, höchste Qualität aus regionalen Produkten. Nur zu empfehlen!

Stancija Špin Tar – Hausgemachte Istrische Küche
Eine so schöne Konaba entlang der Käsestraße, wo man Olivenöl und Käse probieren und kaufen kann. Istrische Küche, die hausgemacht ist. Die Gerichte, die angeboten werden, sind nicht überall zu finden, weshalb das Stancija Špin berühmt und einzigartig ist. Ein großer Spielplatz für Kinder und viel Auslauf für Hunde. Genug Parkplätze gibt es auch. Wir haben unsere Hochzeit dort gefeiert und waren wirklich begeistert. Von der Villa Olea ist Stancija Špin mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen.

Im Nachbarort Brtonigla, nur 5 Minuten mit dem Auto, liegt mitten in diesem malerischen Ort das Primizia. Viele Speisen werden in einem original istrischen Brotofen zubereitet.
